Due to the high expectations in precision from the management and design team of Trampa, it was upsetting to have to accept the fact that despite the incredible machinery being used in the production of all Trampa parts, a measure of tolerance in accuracy would have to be accepted.
For the trucks we worked to a tolerance of 1mm, but sadly this 1mm tolerance sometimes gave us a problem with the kingpin not quite fitting correctly between the base plate and hanger....
To resolve this problem, Trampa have released two different sized plastic bushings to bridge this tiny gap.
As all the parts are hand constructed here in the UK, it has been easy to control the construction of the trucks and ensure each truck which leaves the building has the correct size bushings and we can guarantee a totally smooth steering system.
The difference between the four bushings is the thickness of the base. The different sizes are 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm. As all trucks have 4 bushings this .5mm difference allows us to bridge a total distance of 2mm resolving any potential problems.

Made with different thickness bases to avoid any tolerance issues in production, the Trampa 1.5mm Base Kingpin bushings for Spring Trucks are produced from the highest standard plastics available to ensure strength and durabillity.
As with all moving parts on a mountainboard, the kingpin bushings are subjected to a lot of wear and tear, so to make sure your trucks are performing at their best inspect these Bushings regularly and replace from time to time.
