TRUCKS are an integral part of your ride. They are fitted tight with bolts to the angled tip of the DECK. The Truck supports the WHEELS in the correct position & when everything is fixed together, through movement gained from the mounting angle, the natural roll of the inflated wheels & some weight adjustment from yourself, the Trucks & wheels combine to create the steering.
All Trucks are made of 2 parts - the BASEPLATE & the HANGER. The Hanger houses the axles. The Hanger & Baseplate are connected by the use of a KINGPIN. The kingpin is supported by PLASTIC BUSHINGS. The plastic Bushings prevent metal wear from the moving parts. Quite differently to skate trucks the Kingpin on spring trucks pushes through the Baseplate & Hanger Horizontally. The steering resistance is then gained by the supporting SPRINGS which are Squeezed into the gap, providing resistance in the movement between the Baseplate & the Hanger.
To give more resistance to the steering, the SPRINGS are additionally supported with Rubber DAMPA's. The DAMPA's are inserted into the springs and help in the perfect position, by use of the Spring Retainer (The Spring retainer is perfectly shaped to hold the Dampa in the spring) before the springs are squeezed into the Truck. The DAMPA's are of a clever design (giving huge thanks to Mr Mark Daniels), using 3 balls stacking on top of each other providing progressive & controllable movement making riding at high speeds a real pleasure as you become at one with the terrain. The DAMPA's are available in a range of different SHORE resistance (SHORE is the measure for rubber hardness) to suit all sizes & capabilities of rider from the smallest to the largest from novice to expert!
The Spring Trucks can be further adjusted on the fly by turning the Spring Adjuster & adjusting the pre-loaded tension in the Spring & Dampa. Turning the spring adjuster clockwise increases the resistance in the Spring & Dampa consequently tightening the steering for the rider. Turning the adjuster Anti-Clockwise releases the pressure on the Spring & Dampa making your steering easier. Loose steering will result in speed wobble at high speeds where as tight steering will making turning at low speeds not so easy. You can custom adjust each Spring in your trucks in-tune with your exact ride requirements! :-)

The TRAMPA VERTIGO BASEPLATE is a CNC Milled light weight version of the original INFINITY Baseplate. Weighing in at only 128g each, they are 25% lighter than the Original INFINITY Baseplate, but compared weight to strength, the VERTIGO BASEPLATES are the lightest / strongest in the TRAMPA range!
The VERTIGO range of products are designed for advancing riders who are demanding low weight & high performance from their equipment. Tried & tested by the TRAMPA Lab-Rats (i mean TRAMPA Team riders), the VERTIGO Baseplates will not fail you. In order to make our Baseplates so strong we use Aircraft grade (6061) Aluminum which is hydraulically extruded it through a custom made Die. It comes out the other side of the machine like playdoh, as one long piece, in the profile of our re-enforced Baseplate.
Extruding Aluminum ensures consistent strength throughout the profile. Once Extruded the profile is then sent to be T6 Heat Treated. T6 Heat Treating Extruded Aluminum fuses the molecules of the metal together tighter than they already are, making it even stronger than before, enabling the VERTIGO Baseplate to easily cope with the extreme stresses of Off Road Riding without the fear of problems & whilst looking extremely stylish! ;-)
Once its Heat Treated, the extruded profile is then sliced & diced into the Baseplate shape. Using a mould to position the Baseplate, the Baseplate mounting holes are punched into the correct position & the Baseplate is then sent away to be "Bead" polished & prepared for the colour coordinating Powder Coating process & stylish TRAMPA logo to be added. Once the Powder coating has dried the Baseplate is sent to the CNC factory for its final process. The high precision machine accurately mills out the excess material of the body, reducing weight & leaving a pimped out TWO TONE APPEARANCE behind. The CNC Machine is also used to accurately mill out the Kingpin holes in order to give the precision required for constructing the complete Truck.
TRAMPA's M5 x 10mm COUNTERSUNK Bolt is made from A4 Marine Grade Stainless Steel & is used to secure the Spring into position on the Bottom of the Spring Truck hangers. The head of the Bolt is COUNTERSUNK so that it sits flush with your Hanger.
Using Marine Grade Stainless Steel, means these bolts will never rust on you! Weighing just 1.8g each, they are very lightweight, look very sexy & are totally non corrosive. They can cope with any terrain or weather. They laugh in the face of sandy/salty beaches & muddy freeride tracks, which do turn other manufacturers Nuts & Bolts into corrosive rusting wrecks! As well as being Non Corrosive all of the TRAMPA Bolts are diped in BLUE THREAD LOCKING PASTE to ensure an extra strong secure fix between the Nut & the Bolt.
You’ll need 2 of the TRAMPA M5 x 10mm Countersunk Bolts to construct 1 pair of TRAMPA Bindings. You’ll also need a 3mm Allen key to tighten & loosen the bolts. Don’t forget to make sure all you’re Nuts & Bolts are tight before you ride!
The precision made Kingpin Bushings locate the Kingpin in a wear-free position between the hanger & Baseplate.
The Kingpin bushings are a small item & are subjected to a lot of forces and through normal/regular use they will ultimately need replacing over time. Depending on what surface you are riding on will depend on how long these bushings will last you. So to make sure your trucks are always performing at their best inspect these Bushings regularly (preferably before riding) & in particular replace any that are showing signs of wear & from time to time replace them anyway...
The difference between the four bushings is the thickness of the base. The different base sizes are 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm. 2.5mm is the standard size we work to. As all trucks have 4 bushings this .5mm difference in each of the bushing bases allows us to bridge a maximum distance of 2mm (4x.05mm=2m) resolving any foreseeable problems.
The TRAMPA DAMPA is a Urethane Elastomer that fits inside the Spring of a Truck. Its purpose is to support the Spring & give extra resistance during steering. Its clever design has three balls stacked & connected on-top of each other. The middle ball is slightly fatter than the outer two, during steering they all compress against each other giving greater feed back in your turns. This stacked design gives a fantastic progressive feel to steering.
By varying the SHORE DUROMETER (Rubber Hardness) strength of the Urethane mixture, we can control the amout of movement in the DAMPA. This in turn allows the rider to custom tune the resistance of their steering perfect to their requirements. The spheres of the DAMPA fit perfectly into the cup of the specially made TRAMPA SPRING RETAINER which is the part that locates & locks the Spring in the the TRAMPA SPRING TRUCKS, and they instantly start to work with the slightest movement from the rider. TRAMPA DAMPA's work in harmony with the rider, supplying the perfect amount of steering resistance whilst eliminating all chances of speed wobble. Now available in 5 different steering resistance's for all levels of rider out there, Yellow DAMPA's are for easy steering, whilst White DAMPA's are for the totally committed!
Turning the Spring Adjuster clockwise pre-loads the tension in the Spring and Dampa. This can be adjusted on the fly to suit the terrain & conditions. Turning the spring adjuster too much will put pressure on the Dampa & eventually it may split. Rather than putting too much pressure into the Dampa, consider up-grading the Dampa to a harderShore Durometer as this will most likely increase your perfomace than overtightening a Dampa thats not stiff enough for you. The ULTIMATE ATB TITANIUM HANGER is a slimmed down SUPER light weight version of the original INFINTY Hanger. The Hanger is made from FORGED ALUMINUM & is one solid piece. Without stripping any of its critical strength a CNC milling machine accurately cuts out the bulk of the material resulting in the ULTIMATE hanger being almost as strong as the Infinity BUT nearly 30% lighter in overall weight.
The ULTIMATE Hanger is equipped with 9.525mm (10mm) SOLID TITANIUM Axles. TITANIUM Axles reduce the overall weight of the ULTIMATE hanger even more than the 12mm Hollow axles do in the Vertigo Hanger.
CNC milling guarantees precision work. Ensuring the Kingpin Holes are accurately placed guarantee's the best performance to the rider as well as making the truck easy to assembly & service. In order to give the "Two Tone Pimp Finish" the Ultimate Hanger is POWDER COATED Gloss White for metal protection & colour coordinating good looks before the CNC work is carried out.
The ULTIMATE hanger measures 16 Inches in total width. When the wheels are fitted to the Hanger, the board has a center wheel width of 14 Inches.
This M8 x 80mm TITANIUM Spring Truck Kingpin is used to connect the Hanger & the Baseplate on the TRAMPA ULTIMATE Trucks. By using an 8mm TITANIUM 8mm Kingpin we have managed to save loads of weight whilst retaining all the strength necessary for the job by using the high quality metals true to our word!
This M8 x 80mm Kingpin connects into an M6 Nut. You'll need a 4mm Allen key to hold the Kingpin & a 10mm spanner to tighten/loosen your M6 Kingpin Nut.
This Kingpin pushes through Plastic Bushings before being placed into position in the Truck System. The Plastic bushings allow the metal parts (Hanger & Baseplate) to move inside each other without allowing the metal parts to touch or wear out. The Plastic Bushings will wear out over time & will eventually perish & need replacing. SO, make sure your Bushings are always in good working order after riding riding or especially when upgrading your Kingpin, it might be time to replace them too due to the unavoidable wear & tear of moving mountainboard parts.
This Kingpin lives up to TRAMPA's incredibly high quality standards, but it's always handy to have a spare just in case you do break one out on a ride....
Introducing TRAMPA's M6 (6mm Thread) A4 Grade Marine Grade Stainless steel Nylock Nut. This Nylock Nut will fit to all M6 Bolts regardless of their length. This A4 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Nut will never rust on you! It is fitted with the world renowned NYLOCK System (Nylock is a nylon locking system where Nylon is pasted into the threads of the nut so that when the bolt is tightened into the nut the nylon grabs the thread of the bolt holding it locking it in the thread ensuring things do not vibrate loose or fall off when being ridden on rough terrain like that which a Mountain or Kiteboard endures. The NYLOCK System is fitted as standard to all TRAMPA Nuts.
This Nut is used to fix to the Regular shaped M6 Bolts that hold the TRUCKS to the DECK for the HOLYPRO Decks & also for the countersunk bolts connecting the L BRACKETS TO the DECKs. Use an 10mm spanner or SOCKET for a Ratchet Driver to tighten the Nut onto the Bolt. Always ensure your Nuts & Bolts are tight before you ride!
This very special Marine Grade Stainless steel Nyloc HALF NUT is custom made specially to fit the TRAMPA products. Half nut means - half as the size of a regular nut, so half the size = half the weight of a normal nut. By using Half nuts on the axles reduces the over all length of the axle & kingpin therefore reducing weight in the Truck also! A few Grams here & a few grams there soon adds up to quite alot & that makes all the difference to the total Truck & consequently deck weight, specially in critical areas of the deck such as the wheels area...
This very special 3/8ths of an inch Marine Grade Stainless steel Nylock Half Nut official factory measurements are W3/8ths - 24T - UNF. This Nut is used to hold the wheels onto the axles of the 9.525mm (3/8ths of Inch or otherwise referred to as 10mm) SKATE TRUCKS & also the Spring Trucks fitted with TITANIUM axles. This Nut is also used to hold the KINGPIN in position on all Skate Trucks. The Nut is fitted as standard with the world renowned NYLOC System. The Nyloc "locks the Nut onto the Bolt" eliminating vibration, keeping your nuts tighter for longer!
Use a 14mm or 9/16ths of an Inch spanner to tighten the Nut onto the Axle or Kingpin, do not overtighten the nut, allow the wheel to spin freely but not rattle & do not crush your bearings. Being Marine Grade Stainless Steel this nut will not rust you! Always ensure all ur nuts are tight before you ride!

This special 9.525mm (id) x 13.52mm (od) x 18..2mm (long) Aluminium Spacer has two purposes - It is firstly known as a Bearing Support Spacer as this spacer fits between the Bearings of the HYPA hub when mounting the HYPA wheel onto 9.525mm (10mm) or 3/8ths of an inch Axles, & secondly this spacer is also known as the "WHEEL SUPPORT SPACER" as it is also used to position all the TRAMPA wheels into the correct position when mounting onto Spring Trucks with 9.525mm TITANIUM Axles.
TRAMPA's spacers are produced as one long tube. The Tube is Heat Treated gaining maximum strength, then CNC cut to the exact length for precision & problem free wheel mounting.....!
TRAMPA's SPRINGS are coiled to precision & fit into the TRAMPA Spring Trucks perfectly. They easily squeeze into the space between the Baseplate & Hanger & being made to measure they are firstly very easy to fit with no clamps or tools required to squeeze them into position & secondly to be super responsive to the rider.! Once the spring assembly is fitted correctly the steering resistance is taken up instantly!
Our Springs have been designed to work in perfect harmony with the TRAMPA DAMPA's & TRAMPA SPRING RETAINER providing maximum performance from the "Spring assembly" to the rider. The DAMPA's drop into the SPRING & the SPRING RETAINERS seal the ends of the spring, holding the DAMPA in exact position to be pre-loaded & squeezed into the truck. Using just a little bit of muscle, squeeze the loaded spring into the truck, then lock the spring into position using the Spring Adjuster & M5 x 12mm Countersunk Bolt. The TRAMPA spring Truck steering system is highly responsive & totally customisable by interchanging the DAMPA's to harder Urethane. Other Mountain Board brands springs will not fit the TRAMPA Trucks as they are a different in dimension.

Constructed using the very latest in Injection Moulding machinery & original DuPont Materials, this part should never fail on you. The Spring Retainer houses an extra wide Marine Grade Stainless Steel Flanged Insert. The Extra Strength that the re-enforced flange creates, eliminates the need for a very awkwardly fitting washer that is still found in the MBS & Scrub boards today. Pimped - The Spring Retainer is TRAMPA Embossed around the rim of the retainer proving our quality, so don't get fooled or buy copies!
TRAMPA's very own & very special SPRING ADJUSTER is made using A4 MARINE GRADE STAINLESS STEEL & its guaranteed never to rust on you! The Spring adjuster is fitted to the trucks once the springs have been pushed into position. The spring adjuster pre-tensions the steering for the rider suitable to their requirements. We designed the Spring Adjuster to be slightly shorter in length than other brands, this is so that the Tip of the adjuster does not poke through the internal of the Spring Retainer & therefor does not interfere or hinder the performance of the DAMPA wich is located on the inside of the Retainer.
Should you need extra resisitance from your steering because you wish to ride fast, or if you need more steering because the course is twisty then you can very easily & quickly adjust the resistance in your steering by simply turning the spring adjster in the correct direction. To get the most out of your trucks on changeable terrain, simply ride with & use a 4mm Allen Key to make your adjustments. Winding the Spring Adjuster clockwise increases the steering resistance, which in turn restricts wobble at high speed.. Turning the Adjuster anti-clockwise loosens the steering allowing a more carvey ride..
DO NOT over tighten your Spring Adjuster, as this may crush your DAMPA.. If you need more steering resistance upgrade your DAMPA's & do not over tighten!!
TRAMPA's ULTIMATE TRUCK is a slimmed down, super light-weight version of the original Infinity Truck BUT 30% lighter!! Made in exactly the same way, using CAST Alloy for the body of the HANGER, it is CNC machined removing the bulk of the material, reducing weight substantially, without altering any of its critical strength. The ULTIMATE hanger is fitted with 9.525mm TITANIUM AXLES instead of the regular 12mm Solid Steel axles found on the INFINITY Trucks or the 12mm Hollow Steel Axles on the VERTIGO Truck. TITANIUM is 10 times stronger (when compared weight for weight) but weighs less than half the weight of steel & will NEVER RUST!!
The Alloy Hanger is attached to an Aerospace Grade Aluminum Baseplate. The Aluminum comes as a block & is rammed through an Extrusion mould, coming out the other side as one long piece a bit like Playdoh! It gets T6 HEAT TREATED gaining maximum molecular strength during the process, before the precision CNC machine goes to work creating the final shape & removing excess material reducing weight but not effecting any of its critical strength n the process.
The Hanger & Baseplate 'Kingpin Holes' are also CNC precision milled, insuring the Trucks assemble like a dream. Nylon Bushings are inserted into the Kingpin Holes supplying a flush connection, eliminating potential wear between the moving metal parts. The TITANIUM KINGPIN pushes through the Kingpin Holes connecting the 2 integral parts together, allowing the steering to happen... Everything fixes together perfectly enabling the ULTIMATE TRUCKS to provide problem free precision riding!
SPRINGS, loaded with TRAMPA DAMPA's are squeezed by hand, into the mounting positions between the Hanger & Baseplate. When anchored in position they give resistance to the steering. The steering resistance can be pre-set to your weight, riding ability & personal preference by changing the TRAMPA DAMPA to a stiffer/softer hardness. TRAMPA DAMPA's come in 5 different hardness's to suit all riding styles. The springs can also be ADJUSTED on the fly! By using a 4mm Allen Key you can further TUNE your steering by turning the SPRING ADJUSTER clockwise to give TIGHTER STEERING (fast riding) & turning anti-clockwise to give LOOSE STEERING (Carve riding). You can quickly adjust your board relevant to the conditions or terrain ahead... As your riding will improve over time you will demand more pre-tension from your steering, so don't over tighten your springs, instead change your Dampa's to something a little harder.
