TRAMPA's Electric Mountainboards are Amazing bits of kit! The Mountainboards are the largest of the Boards that TRAMPA produces & are the perfect board option for riding off road. TRAMPA Electric Mountainboards are currently supplied as semi assembled DIY kits which you must complete yourself. Batteries & Chargers are not supplied in any of the sales of the TRAMPA Electric Boards. Being viewed as dangerous by many of the major shipping companies the Batteries are very difficult for us to ship with the board, and there are many tyoes of charger that can be used with different models to suit differnt budgets, however there are Batteries, Chargers & Power Charges that we recommend as being suitable for you so dont panic there are companies that can deliver direct to your address. please see the links above & below.
The TRAMPA Electric Mountainboards are all equpied with fully adjustable 16 inch wide ATB Spring Trucks & DAMPA's, either HYPA or SUPERSTAR 8 inch pneumatic Wheels (with a custom tyre option on all boards so they can be ridden on any surface relevant to your ride) & a selection of Bindings options for you to choose from. Once the Motor Mount's, powerful TRAMPA motors & the incredible VESC 6 speed controllers are wired in (and of course the 12s batteries which you must supply yourself) the off road riding experience is completely breath taking, you will achieve that un-real off road experience everybody is talking about, riding any of the Electric TRAMPA products on these pages will give you that same experience...

Whether you take the basic URBAN motor-mount setup or the PRO MTB motor mount setup the same high performance can be archived. The PRO Motor Mount comes with additional features such as an easy to adjust belt tensioning facility & is fitted with a milled out T6 Bashguard for protection from the rocks & Stones which are bound to be flicked up or potentially bashed against. SINGLE Motor or TWIN Motor is on the minds of many customers, TWIN motors will give you double the amount of grip & they will accelerate faster, but in my opinion single motor is suitable for most riders out there, for sure TWIN motor will give you heaps more grip, which is brilliant when in off road situations, but just one of the TRAMPA 118kv Motors fitted with a 13-Tooth Motor pulley will easily take the largest of people up steeper than expected slopes
To be honest, 30kmph (Which is not the speed limit of these contraptions) is like really really fast on one of our board, but most riders out there will easily be able to achieve this type of speed & still have ample amounts of power by using just 1 of the TRAMPA motors.... The benefit of having TWIN Motors is it gives you more grip, so riding in off road situations is hugely enhanced when riding with YTWIN Motor, Acceleration is also faster as you have two motors to push you along, tp speed will be slightly eassier to achive more often because you have more grip and of course the work load on the single motor is halved so potentially you get further out of your batteries, 2 motors sharing the load of 1 rider helps you most when you are in serious off road situations or if you imagine you will be making lots of steep climbs when the surface is not so sure like when riding a dirt track through the woods.... Twin Motor means lots of batteries though and of course twin VESC also so the price can get a little expensive but the performace is just amazing...

Never tried a powered Board before? Well now is the time as the equipment available today is light enough whilst more then powerful enough to be highly impressive! Electric drives are a complete game changer for our board sports as they make ripping up a hill just as much fun as free wheeling downhill! Its unbelievable just how addictive these boards these boards can be, lab rats (i mean team riders) at the TRAMPA HQ have pretty given up their cars in favor of their E-Board as they easily beat traffic and the short cycle track replaces many regular commutes & local run arounds...
We advise the power to be controlled by the latest version of VESC. The power output is tunable to suit your preference or ride ahead. Be it short sharp max power acceleration for racing with cycles or easy steady acceleration for a long distance range. Using the gearing options available (!3,14 & 1t Tooth options) 30° slopes can easily be ridden at speed whilst TRAMPA's Electric Mountain boards can be set to accelerate so hard the wheels spin like a rally car when riding in dirt, on hard packed surfaces they can wheelie all the way to full speed just like a GP bike of the lights!
When enough funding comes our way we intend to make an App for the Mobile phone which will allow the rider to connect to the board wirelessly & be able to tune the board on the fly (currently its a plug into a pc or laptop job so not so convenient but still possible). This App technology is already available but what with all the recent investment we have undertaken were a few Dollars away from doing this right now - We are looking for investors if somebody is thinking 'Well i have some money to invest to help make that'.
To describe what it feels like to ride the twin engine Electric mountain board over rough terrain is kind of beyond words, i say this because in order for snowboarding or surfing to be at its best we really rely on the weather & were all chasing that perfect moment, & when it does come it doesn't last long & often some punk may have beaten you to it to make the first line down which inevitably spoils your ride, where-as riding a TRAMPA E Board is like riding an endless white tipped wave or the perfect slope full of fresh snow that just goes on forever or at least until your feet are burning so bad & you need a break from all the carves you have just put in! The feeling of being able to continuously link from small to massive carve turns for as far & as wide as the route will take you is just sensational. As a life long extreme athlete exposed to most of the board & wheeled sports that have been out there from BMX to Skateboard as a kid to MotorX & Snowboard as an adult, i can honestly tell you that it feels like it has the power & perfomance from the MotorX bike twinned with the thrill of a carve on a Snowboard! just amazing! :-)
TOP TIPS TO FINISH OFF YOUR ELECTRIC MOUNTAINBOARD
- To give the premium quality motors the kind of performance they are capable of we recommend an absolute minimum of 1 x 10s Battery per motor, (LiPo pouches or Li-Ion round cell packs) with a High Continuous Discharge Current. (40c & above Rated Batteries are good performance) 12s batteries should be used to Gain the very best performance, for example made from 2x 6s quality LiPo packs, with a minimum of 5000mAh (take higher than 5000mah (I have seen 6200h if you can find them), upto 40C+ rated, preferably with XT90 connectors on as this means there is no soldering of cable or if you have some electrical skills its possible you can make yourself a 10 or 12s with something like 2-6p (in Parrallel) battery pack, spot welded from 18650 round cells, 20A+ continuous discharge per cell (eg. LG INR18650-HG2 3000mAh-20A). This coombination will give you up to 50 Miles range easy...
- You will need a BATTERY CHARGER with built in BMS (Battery Management System) capable of charging your battery pack configuration. You Ideally need a good charger capable of charging up to 2x 6s batteries or 1x 12s battery at any one time. Whilst we do not have our own BMS sorted just yet there are a lots of good high power chargers on the market for you to choose from. I ride Single motor 12s1p in the Beast box, i have been using the ULTRAMAT 18 Charger which is capable of charging 2x 6s 6200mAh 40c Discharge batteries, at the same time, and from flat to full this charge takes approx 2.5 - 3 Hours to charge. However, if you introduce the POWER CHARGER into the charging loop, so the power charger plugs into the wall and then you plug the power charger into the Battery charger, and then plug you battery in the the battery charger through the bullt connectors, this reduces the charging time by nearly 2/3rds down to just over 1 hour for a full charge.
The good news is the POWER CHARGER can power 2 x ULTRAMAT Chargers at 1 time, so if you are riding twin motor with 2x 12s Battery packs made from 6s Batteries, and you have 2x Ultramat Chargers, then you can plug them both into the Power Charger & charge all 4 batteries at once, bringing the charging of 4 batteries using down to around 1 hours which is awesome!!
If you split your 12s pack into 2 6s blocks, then a cheap 6s RC LiPo charger will charge you up 1 battery at a time so a little bit on the slow side but will do the job quite fine if your running out of money, so if you decide to take twin motor & ride regular then purchase 2 cheap chargers to halve the charging time

You will need some XT90s Anti Spark Connectors for soldering your batteries or gold plated bullet connectors if your just heat shrinking your connections & it's advisable to add a 40-50A Fuse for each battery to VESC in case anything goes wrong with your batteries.
- you will also need Zip ties, Cable shrink Tube, hook & loop fasteners, foam pads etc to cushion things & make a tidy job of the cables, prevent rattles & make things fit correctly.
Constructing TRAMPA's Electronic Mountainboards currently requires some electrical knowledge & skills. At a minimum you may need to solder your battery cables to the Xt90 connectors, but Messing around with the batteries & chargers, especially when you do not know what you are doing, is very dangerous. Lipo Batteries are dangerous. When mishandled or damaged they can explode. Therefor this equipment should never be handled by children & DIY assemblies should not be attempted by people who are not sure of what they are doing... Seek experienced help from guys in the know, take a look on the different forums for advice, many RC (remote control) clubs use similar equipment to ours, these guys have a lot of experience in this field & im very sure they would be very keen to see some new electric kit on the market, so reach out to someone close to you & see the forum links below for general guidance, further information & an insight as to how others have completed their personal DIY projects...
- 8-12S battery (LiPo pouches or Li-Ion round cell packs) with high continuous discharge current, preferably 10-12S for best performance, for example made from 2x 4-6S quality LiPo packs, 5000mAh each (or more), 25C+ rated, or 8-12S, 2-4P battery pack, spot welded from 18650 round cells, 20A+ continuous discharge per cell (eg. LG INR18650-HG2 3000mAh-20A). If you fancy custom making your own batery the MONSTER Box is the obvious choice for you & can house 80x 18650 cells and can make battery conbinations such as (10x8): 12S6P or 11s7P or 10S8P
190 KV motor is to much. You want 150KV or less.
- A battery charger with built in BMS (Battery Management System) capable of charging your battery pack configuration. Ideally capable of charging up to 12S batteries. If you split your pack into 6S blocks (or less) a cheap 6S RC LiPo charger will do the job but you will need to charge each Battery separately.
