TRAMPA's 6.5 Inch Low profile URBAN TREADS tyres have been specifically designed to fit TRAMPA's incredibly strong 6 Spoke HYPA & 5 Spoke SUPERSTAR hubs. My design brief to Frank was simple - make the smallest, best quality pneumatic tyre we possibly can, I want to radically changing the rough ride experience of that when riding with regular style longboard wheels, specially at speed when riding in Urban/City environments.... We all know the pavements & roads are far from a perfect surface so much so that sometimes its almost impossible to ride regular Longboard wheels, some of the pot holes around me are terrible but with these URBAN TREADS tyres fitted you can smash through all the imperfections whilst still enjoying that small wheel feel...
TRAMPA's URBAN TREADS tyres are arguably the PREMIUM TYRE in TRAMPA's range of tyres. Made with whats known a High TPI construction (TPI means Threads Per Inch & the URBAN TREADS tyre uses thousands of very Fine Threads per Inch to stitch between the outer lightweight nylon bands, this in turn gives the construction shape to the tyre) this High TPI means the tyre's construction is incredibly strong whilst still very supple, like a posh bicycle tyre but by smothering the Treads with premium quality HIGH GRIP COMPOUND motorcycle rubber to cover the High TPI construction, not only are the URBAN TREADS Tyre amazingly light weight but it has performance like that to match a premium motorcycle tyre!!
Having a High TPI & using hefty amounts of thick Motorcycle rubber means not only is the construction of the tyre incredibly strong but it will also wear incredibly well too. This extra strength in turn allows the tyre to be run at both, incredibly low tyre pressure or should the circumstances require (such as a skate park where you need to pump hard) inflated to being incredibly hard the URBAN TREADS Tyres can easily handle our factory set limit of 85psi, (but ONLY inflate to 85psi when fitting the URBAN TREADS on to the TRAMPA HYPA or SUPERSTAR hubs) but we have herd of some of the crazy TRAMPA Lab Rats (i mean team riders) are inflating over 100psi (i dont think their pump will allow them to get any more air in haha) & with currently no problems to report... But for sure, if one pop's at 100 psi it will certainly make one hell of a noise!! BANG!! haha! :-)
Riding on such a small sized tyre gives the most radical performance change to literally every board in the TRAMPA range. The is no doubt the tyre was developed specifically for the URBAN CARVER BOARD & more in particular the ELECTRIC URBAN CARVE BOARD where both products use a smaller deck & the smaller sized Mini Spring Trucks system, the smaller board needed a slightly smaller tyre than that of the full sized 8 inch ATB decks to compliment the overall product size, so in true TRAMPA style we made the URBAN TREADS Tyre special for that application but since then we have found over these last cold wet winter months that the 6.5 inch URBAN TREADS tyres have also become the choice tyre for Mountainboards who are maintaining their riding skills in the out of season period by riding in indoor Parks or Tracks, just ask the world famous Brind Brothers - PRO TRAMPA Team riders, who have literally not stopped riding through the winter since the release of these new tyres...
TRAMPA's Electric boards have amazing performance with a top speed of well over 50kmph achievable on all models. When your hitting high speeds like this you need good tyres on your board. Thankfully the URBAN CARVE range of decks are fitted with super sexy 6.5 inch URBAN TREADS Tyres as standard. The reinforced, low profiled, wide center beaded with intelligently designed jagged edge around the side can be run on low inflation pressure which gives enough grip to cut muddy corners or nip down hard packed off road tracks no problem, but can also handle the super inflation for straight line flat out speed. If you wish to ride full speed we 1stly suggest you turn the SPRING ADJUSTERS clockwise to tighten the steering resistance, pre-loading more tension into your springs before you wish to hit high speeds will prevent potential wobble, and if you re beginning to feel a bit of wobble, then you should moce te springs to the outside position before attempting to go any faster. If you still feel speed wobble when the springs are in the outside position, then you should then further Add the TRAMPA DAMPA's to add more resistance to the steering to enable you to be able to go even faster :-)
The Urban Tread tyre doesn't only handle high speeds easily but riding around town where you are likely to be bashing up & down curbs & dealing with cracks in the road or potholes, then you are most likely, or you should be riding at much lower inflation pressures. The lower pressure gives so much comfort on the rougher stuff but of course does increase Drag making it harder for your batteries to perform well...
TRAMPA’s Under-board battery tray is a sleek & stealthy cell-storage solution.
Mounting batteries on the underside of a deck puts them more at risk from bumps & scrapes than over-board solutions. Made from the same super-strong (secret), material used for TRAMPA DECKS, this battery tray keeps everything secure & protected.
Designed to work in conjunction with the amazing ORRSOM ELECTRIC LONGBOARD range (or any custom builds if the space is there). At 630 x 200 x 24mm, this tray can fit 6x 2s 10000mAH HRB Cells - and still have room for single or twin VESCs! That’s a lot of GO-power in one tray!
Attached using 22x M4x10mm bolts, this tray is staying secure no matter how much the deck flexes!

In its development, no Mosfet switches were used - due to their tendency to eventually blow up. This saves on the additional costs of replacing them, & also adds to the longevity of the VESC 6 MKIII.
When we developed the VESC 75/300, it was obvious that most of its features would be handy to have in the VESC 6 format. The finely stranded (1036 strands per 4mm core) & highest standard available copper cables (made in Germany) flex perfectly in their top quality & super flexible silicone coating to enable you to connect everything together neatly within the contents of the carbon fibre Beast Box, remember the VESC is mounted internally in the Beast Box and I can tell you it can be a bit of a squeeze fitting everything into the Beast, but having superflexible high quality cables to work with means everything can be easily moved around inside the box slipping them into the perfect position without the fear of damaging the cables or the hand soldered in the UK connections to the XT90 plugs...
The XT90 plugs have a little ridge on their exterior whilst the material they are made from is very strong and very cleverly we have made the Beast box lid with 2 precision made holes perfect for accepting for the XT90's to push through the lid from the inside of the box & rest against the rim of the hole in the lid, allowing everything else in the box to seal away enabling you to be able to, with the use of some squeeze silicone in a tube to become pretty much weather proof...
By the use of some suitably small 2mm holes next to the precision holes for the XT90 connectors it's possible in combination to neatly zip tie between the XT90's to lock them firmly in position giving them a strong enough connection so that so that you can easily push & pull the loopkey / cuicuit breaker at any time from the exterior with out the fear of damaging anything inside or out...!
The beast box is also fitted with more precision holes to allow tying the exterior VESC cables which come out of the rear of the Beast box to reach the motor whilst holding all the cables neatly in their best position.
Constructed using 4mm thick of the highest standard Copper available (that's lots of Super fine copper Strands - 1036 strands per 4mm core) and coated in Super Flexible Premium Silicone which has been TRAMPA Stamped to prove it's geniality & expected quality (Cus these top quality cables are not cheap) are used to maximise & maintain full performance in your Electric TRAMPA Board at all times!
TRAMPA's 12-FIFTIES Motor Mounts are an integral part of the ORRSOM range of products, sharing the same T6 Aluminum Connecting Clamp & Carbon Fibre Motor Mount Panel, the Panel has space to fit 5, YES 5 different sized Slave pulleys to allow you to fit 4 different types/size of wheel to make a 1 Motor Mount fits all for the new ORRSOM Longboard that's due out very soon.
If you simply change your wheel size without adjusting your Slave pulley will effect the resulting performance will be compromised, however connecting the right size pulley with the different sized wheels will insure you retain the best performance for that size of wheel on your board.
This simple motor mounting kit is as versatile as they come - working flawlessly with our 12-FIFTIES Longboard Trucks, as well as other brands’ trucks and wheels..
The Motor Mount Connectors snuggly slide over the truck hanger and are secured tightly with MARINE GRADE M6x10 grub screws. The Premium Quality Carbon Mounting Panel is sandwiched tightly between the Motor Mount Connectors, & is fitted with a support for long motor axles. The Motor Axle Support houses a precision 608 bearing, supporting axle rotation & ensuring the motor is as secure & efficient as possible. TRAMPA’s motors have a longer axle, that fits perfectly into this support.
The Pulley Kit includes a 15mm STRONGBELT and a choice of Slave Wheels, that can drastically change the performance of your finished board. We use a 15mm wide reinforced drive belt that reduces stretch, eliminates slip & as a consequence provides a constantly smooth whilst incredibly intuitive power delivery direct to the rear Drive Wheels of your board. This kit can fit a variety of different Slave Wheels, for fitting STICKIES, GUMMIES or URBAN Wheels - each changing the style & performance of the finished board.
TRAMPA's very own purpose made 118kv & 136kv Fully HALL & TEMPERATURE Sensored Out-Runner Motors are custom made to handle high-voltage set ups! These motors easily outperform all the competition on the market in so many aspects & its list of applications is almost endless! Our special design allows you to also fit metal mesh filters to prevent the impregnation of larger particles ending up in your motor!
The Maytech Remote controller is comfortable to hold & works well as a thumb operated remote control when riding a TRAMPA Electric board. Opposed to the more-common trigger controllers, where you use your forefinger to operate a trigger on the underside of the controller, the Maytech controller uses your thumb on the top - meaning you push forwards to fly forwards! It may take some getting used to, but we’ve found the small, tactful & simple design of these remotes are perfect for controlling your speed & keeping you cruising along comfortably.
The Maytech remote control comes with its own rechargeable lithium batteries (already installed and sealed in the device) & a Micro USB cable for charging. Full charging takes approximately 2 hours but one charge is enough for at least 8 hours (Maytech claims 10 hours but we’ve never tested their claim). You should never run out of power in one run, however just to be safe you should always charge the controller when you charge your board - you never want a dead controller halfway through a ride, that's a school boy error!
The Controller is already paired to the receiver, which means all you have to do is push it into the VESC & within a moment (so long as everything has power in it) you should have a automatic connection - Easy!
The HobbyKing® ™ GT2B is a tad more substantial in size, but comes with a few more features, as well as some customisable options. Featuring a 3 channel operation, interchangeable hand grips, adjustable steering dual-rate, servo reversing and a rechargeable li-ion battery. The li-ion battery makes this transmitter much lighter, which gives the user a great feel during use - no more lugging around a heavy transmitter holding (expensive!) AA batteries!
The Quanum pistol grip transmitter & receiver system is an entry level system offering the reliability of 2.4Ghz signal technology and will control the speed of your Electric TRAMPA Board. The transmitter is powered by 4 x AAA type batteries & is extremely compact & lightweight. The transmitter has some unique features, such as the magazine style battery tray, which pops out at the push of a button allowing you to change your batteries quick & easy. The Trigger Throttle control is comfortable in your hand and easy to control whilst riding your board. The Quanum Tx & Rx package is simple to use and is suitable for all TRAMPA setups.
This GRAUPNER ULTRAMAT Charger is capable of Charging & Balancing all cells up to 12s in power. The Ultramat 18 charger is used by the TRAMPA team for charging all of our decks that use Zippy Cells for power. The charger comes with a UK or EURO Plug for wall plug in connection, XT90 Jack leads & 2x 7 pin adaptor plates which allow balancer cable connections from 2x batteries from 1s to 6s using JST Connectors.... As the Graupner is our suggested charger for the Zippy cells this charger is somehow incorporated into the design of our Battery Boxes so using this charger is nice easy to connect, it is reasonably fast to charge whilst it balances (looking after) your cells at the same time and you dont need to remove anything in order to charge as the cells are all snugly secured away in one of the amazing Carbon fiber boxes, which as it so happens have been designed special for this style of charger & easy charging... :-)
12s power is the perfect amount of power to be pushed through any of the TRAMPA Electronic products (12s should only be applied when using the very special TRAMPA VESC6 speed controller). When 12s power is pumped into the VESC6 you will be able to experience the kind of riding performance everybody is talking about. Do not push more power than 12s into the VESC6. Using a XT90 Battery harness cable kit to connect 2x 6s batteries together will double the battery power resulting with a 12s Battery WITHOUT Any soldering or Welding!!
So as you now know, to achieve 12s power requires a minimum of 2x 6s Batteries (it could be more cells if you were custom making your battery or if you were achieving 12s from 6x 2s, 4x 3s or 3x 4s cells as they can all be harnessed together to make 12s power... but then you will most likely need an additional balancer cable harness or more chargers to charge/balance each cell individually if you want speedy charging), so for efficiency & simplicity we base our 12s power on the use of 2x 6s cells as generally speaking there are many good priced nice performing chargers put there which also have the ability to balance your cells to prevent failiure of the cell, already on the market are capable of charging up to 2x 6 cells at any 1 time,
which maximizes efficiency which in turn means less chargers & (of course if you are making a custom battery you will need a BMS complicated system & Soldering skills) so you either need 2x 6s Battery chargers or 1x charger that is powerful or large enough to charge 2x 6s batteries at the same time to reduce charging times & this GRAUPNER ULTRAMMAT 18 charger is the charger TRAMPA is currently recommending of using capable of charging 2x 6s cells at any 1 time, so if you are running 12s made up from 2x 6s batteries, using this graupner charger you can charge both 6s cells at the same time.... :-)
As well as suggesting our customers find the best performance through using custom cells to make custom battery packs & BMS (Battery management systems), this all gets a little complicated for the majority of our customers, so for ease of supply & speed of installation as plugging in the 6s Cells means no welding or anything messy like that, as well as achieving excellent performance & fabulous range, TRAMPA is strongly encouraging the use of the ZIPPY Compact 6200mAh 6s 40c Lipo Pack with XT90 connectors in on any of the Boards in TRAMPAs range that use either the 12s BEAST BOX or 12s2p MONSTER BOX, as these high power 6s Cells not ony fit perfectly into these custom made Carbon Fiber boxes, but the lids & sides of the Boxes have been CNC'd allowing the wiring loom to flow beautifully inside, further enabling the battery balancer cables to poke out of the rear or sides of the box, whislt most importantly allowing the Charging XT90 connectors to push tightly into & fit perfectly into the precision cut holes in the lid, which are secured int position by the use of s simple ZIPTIE, allowing for simple but very strong KEY connection for turning your board on or off & allowing a really easy plug n play to charge both 6s cells at 1 time when using this Grauper charger
sit perfectly, further allowing Lug holes for the XT90 Connectors to fit into & be secured by a simple ziptie
you should set your charger to LiPo Manual, 6A and max possible mAh setting. Actually the limit of the charger is 20,000mAh I think. That only means the charger will stop charging when it pumped in 20,000 mAh. Worst case, you need to give the charger a second go to finish the job. It simply counts how many mAh it pumped in and stops at your pre-defined value.
When you press the two middle buttons simultaneously, while you charge,you can enter a mode that allows you to see each individual cell.
+- buttons let's you flick through the cells.
Each cell is full when it's at 4.21V.
A test with wheels in the air gives zero information about the performance, since the Vesc is current controlled. This control mode only works when there is a load.
Your Remote has two modes, fast and slow.
When you switch it on, ist in slow mode.
Press the on button again and it will blink fast.
Now you are in fast mode.
