Bindings

TRAMPA offers different types of BINDINGS to suit all the different types of riding... All of the Bindings on offer from TRAMPA are assembled by hand using Marine Grade Stainless Steel Nuts & Bolts and nothing will rust or fail on you regardless of the conditions they live in. Here is a general guidance to the different types of bindings on offer....

Velcro style Bindings are the perfect Binding option For all Beginner riders of all kind, The slightly wider strap offers good leverage to the foot over the Board making turns nice and easy. The Velcro Bindings offer easy step in step out action making it much more inviting to slip your foot in or out & learn the basics of off road boarding. 1 Size fits all feet (although smaller riders should wear larger shoes otherwise an adjustment to the location of the L Bracket maybe needed) the VELCRO Bindings are sinple to adjust & once they are set in their position they remain in position until they are physically altered giving the rider positive security when surfing the rough terrain as nothing will cause them to come un-done whilst riding...

Ratchet style Bindings are (generally speaking) for Advancing Mountain Boarders who are looking to crank down their Foot Straps tight using the Ratchet Buckle to lever the Bindings tight over their foot. Ratchet Bindings are slightly slimmer in design & are often used best when accompanied with a set of TRAMPA Heel Straps. The extra connection that the Heel Straps offers secures the rider to the board until the straps are physically removed, enabling the rider to not give any concerns about their feet from working free from the Bindings whilst riding at high speed.... Adding the Heel straps to the Bindings gives the rider a "locked-in & connected sensation" when riding the deck which will enhance your riding experience. Heel Straps are universally fitting meaning they can be fitted to any of the the TRAMPA Bindings or any other brand of Binding on the market

Camlock style Bindings are predominantly made for top level Kite Boarders. They take the same Foot Strap as the Ratchet style Bindings, but instead of using the Ratchet Buckle to connect the Foot Strap to the Ladder Strap, a CAMLOCK Buckle is used. The Camlocks lock the Ladder Strap into position just like the Velcro Bindings do & they will not come un-done until they are physically moved by the user. This scenario explains a little why Camlock bindings are the best option for Kiteboarders.... Should a Kiteboarder making aerial freestyle moves drop the deck from height (this is no problem) & it lands upside down (Which it is 50% likely to do so) on the side of the Ratchet style Bindings, its possible the ratchet bindings will close up making it difficult for you to step back onto the deck to continue riding without making adjustments to your bindings to get your foot back in.... It often means findings a landing space & downing your kite, un-hooking and then dealing with your bindings, if you use Camlock style bindings then this closing of the bindings will not happen as the Camlocks remain in position allowing you to easily step back onto the deck & continue riding without any of the hassle described above....

Luxury Velcro Bindings combine the best features from the Ratchet Style binding with the Velcro style binding to make the ultimate in Velcro style Bindings!! Ergonomically designed to ensure a comfy fit, TRAMPA Luxury Bindings are TRAMPA Embossed & ribbed on the underside which helps to keep your feet in the locked position. Luxury Bindings can be used for both Mountain Board or Kite Board riding.

NoSno Bindings are Snowboard Bindings made for the dirt. They are to be used in conjunction with Snowboard boots OR very big Shoes if you wish to make the most of the binding. They are often seen by snowboarders as they binding of choice to tempt them to make the Transition from Snow to Dirt, as this is the binding they are familliar with and used to using. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using the Snowboard style bindings for Mountainboarding as they do offer the rider a fantastic connection to the board, its argueed they are best used for mountainboarding when used in the most extreme of locations such as steep or Extreme Alpine routes. Their only downfall is, as the plate under the foot is 1 large piece & in order the bindings to give you such a locked in feeling 6 sptraps are used, so their only downfall is their weight as they weigh more than double of any of the TRAMPA bindings, BUT if you were riding in a ski resort where the lifts are running in the Summer months this extra weight is no problem to the rider....
